Your Child's First Dental
Visit
We like to see children around their first
birthday or when their first tooth erupts, as recommended by the American Dental
Association.
That’s an excellent time to check the development of teeth, examine
the oral cavity and check their bite. At this appointment, we discuss
feeding habits, oral habits (pacifiers and thumb sucking), oral hygiene
and other information to start your baby toward positive dental care.
One adult is invited back during the initial
exam and at recall appointments. This allows us to discuss
our findings and any treatment that may be necessary.
Providing parents information is part
of our commitment to help you care for your child’s oral health
at home. Establishing a good oral hygiene regime is vital
to a child’s development. We want to ensure every child
achieves a healthy, beautiful smile throughout their life.
Should a dental emergency
occur, we make
every effort to see and care
for your child as soon as
possible.
